A beautiful position on the outskirts of the village, yet only 2 minutes walk to the village cafe and bus stop. (bus route Sion to Crans Montana)

Icogne at 1000 metres is just below the resort of Crans Montana. To Crans takes about 10 minutes by car or bus. To Sion, about 25-30 minutes.



Icogne is a tiny village, very beautiful with its many old traditional wooden houses. Excellent views in all directions, and many walking paths nearby

Nearby attractions and activities:

Icogne is situated in the Central Valais, near the resort of Crans Montana, – a stunningly beautiful area, with snowy mountain peaks, alpine pastures, vineyards, and in the deep Rhone valley itself – fruit in abundance, including apricots. The whole region is attuned to welcoming visitors.



There is no heavy industry, and the largest towns in the area are Sion, (the cantonal capitol), and Sierre. Both of these small towns are beautiful, and make visitors very welcome, with a wide variety of attractions – wine cellars to visit, restaurants serving local produce, museums, medieval buildings etc.

All types of musical tastes are catered for in this region. Summer and winter sporting activities too numerous to mention, but topping the list must be skiing in winter, mountain walking in summer – (180km of marked trails), and of course, golf in Crans.



Crans is a large resort, and all if its very wide selection of visitor attractions are within easy reach.



With very good bus and train links, and some motorway access, the many well known resorts of central Valais are all accessible. For example, about 1 hour by car to Zermatt, or 50 minutes to Martigny

Bus from Sion station 30 minutes

Car/train Geneva, (or Geneva Airport) to Sion – about 2 hours



There are excellent Europe-wide road and rail links to Sion and Sierre. The Swiss Railways website is excellent, and incorporates connecting bus timetables. www.sbb.ch
